Honeymoon Travel

With such a beautiful array of red, orange, and yellow leaves decorating the urban landscape, it's no wonder that fall is the season in which many couples choose to head down the aisle. However, after a costly wedding, many couples find they have to compromise when it comes to their honeymoon. This doesn't have to be the case.

A friend of mine recently got married and instead of spending her honeymoon overseas, she traveled to Eastern Canada. "When people think of Canada, sometimes they just think of the major cities," she explained. The truth is that there are so many exotic and interesting places in Canada, not just overseas. Plus it's cheaper, in some cases."

Getting married in the fall also has its advantages in terms of travel, as for many places September - November is considered the off-season and some all-inclusive packages can be purchased at a very impressive discount.

When booking with hotels or travel agents, it's usually a good idea to mention that you are celebrating your honeymoon, since several establishments offer discounted rates or special packages for honeymooners.

Looking for more of an adventure? Why not pack your bags and book your vacation at the last minute? Many hotels and flights offer great last-minute deals that are sure to make your honeymoon your most memorable vacation yet.
